Day 1: Light and Darkness

In the beginning, before time had breath, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless, empty— a vast shadow draped in deep waters. But the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the deep, gentle and powerful, preparing for what was to come.

Then God said, “Let there be light,” and light blazed into being, cutting through the darkness like a promise. He saw that the light was good—pure and true. He named the light Day, and the darkness Night. And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

And God saw that it was good.

Day 2: Sky and Sea

God spoke again: “Let there be a vault between the waters, to separate water from water.” And so the sky was formed— a great expanse stretched out like a canopy, dividing the waters above from those below. He called the vault Sky.

Evening came, and morning followed—the second day.

And God saw that it was good.

The earth blooms with vibrant life.

The earth blooms with vibrant life.

Day 3: Land, Seas, and Plants

God said, “Let the waters under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And so it was. He called the dry ground Land, and the gathered waters He named Seas.

Then God commanded the land: “Let the earth sprout vegetation—plants bearing seeds, trees bearing fruit, each according to its kind.” And the earth blossomed with life— green, vibrant, bursting with promise.

Evening came, and morning followed—the third day.

And God saw that it was good.

Day 4: Sun, Moon, and Stars

God said, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate day from night. Let them mark sacred times—days and years.” And so the greater light, the sun, was set to govern the day. The lesser light, the moon, to rule the night. And He flung stars across the heavens— glittering messengers of beauty and order.

Evening came, and morning followed—the fourth day.

And God saw that it was good.

Life fills the seas and skies.

Life fills the seas and skies.

Day 5: Birds and Sea Creatures

God spoke into the waters: “Let the seas teem with living creatures, and let birds fly across the sky.” And the oceans stirred with life— great whales, swift fish, swarms of sea creatures. The skies filled with wings—eagles and sparrows, soaring in joyful chorus.

God blessed them: “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the waters and the sky.”

Evening came, and morning followed—the fifth day.

And God saw that it was good.

Day 6: Animals and Humanity

Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds.” And the land came alive with movement— lions roared, cattle grazed, insects buzzed, each creature in its kind and beauty.

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness.” So He formed man and woman— not just shaped by His hands, but bearing His breath, His reflection, His delight.

He blessed them and said: “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and take care of it. Rule over the fish, the birds, the animals.”

God looked over everything He had made— and it was very good.

Evening came, and morning followed—the sixth day.

And God saw that it was very good.

Day 7: Rest and Blessing

On the seventh day, God rested. Not from weariness, but to sanctify and savor His creation. He blessed this day and made it holy— a sacred pause, a divine exhale, a rhythm of grace woven into time.

And all that He made was very good.
